One of the most daring social inclusion projects ever developed in Brazil, Kabum! provides quality education in multimedia languages for underprivileged urban youths in large cities. The first unit was opened in Rio de Janeiro in 2001, and has since been copied in Salvador (2004) and Recife (2006), providing free courses in design, computer graphics, video and photography.
Students are selected in metropolitan areas that lack projects in this professional segment. Also taken into account is how representative these young people are of their communities. After all, one of the main objectives of Kabum! is that at the end of the course these new professionals will be able to open image based businesses in the places where they work.
