Being a company that is present in 16 Brazilian states, Oi can affirm that it is well aware of the country’s social issues, witnessing thousands of low income communities, most in distant and inaccessible places, that form an enormous contingent of poverty and exclusion. Conscious of the importance of its corporate responsibility actions and facing a harsh overall national context, the company created Instituto Telemar, now designated Oi Futuro, as an institution responsible for one of the company’s main missions: collaborate to reduce social inequities in Brazil.

As a result of its wide geographical and social scope, Oi Futuro supports third party projects that are committed with its principles, establishes partnerships, and develops inner projects that pretend to attain a unique objective: diffuse knowledge. These projects are: Tonomundo, Oi Futuro Cultural Center, Oi Kabum!, NAVE, Novos Brasis, Conecta e Cultural Incentive Sponsorships.

Oi Futuro is an independent non-profit entity that holds its own statute, board of directors, objectives, and independent programs.
